McDonald’s began teasing its followers with an announcement on Feb. 13 when the billionaire responded.

Trader Cantering Clark claimed to have gone long on Dogecoin after seeing the recent interaction between McDonald’s and Musk as a potentially bullish catalyst. Shiba Inu, a rival, is also up more than 5% in the last 24 hours.

Musk tweeted that he would eat a McDonald’s Happy Meal if the venerable fast-food chain accepted the Dogecoin cryptocurrency.

Tesla was urged by McDonald’s, which has been the subject of crypto-related memes, to take Grimacecoin, a made-up cryptocurrency, in exchange. Inadvertently, the response resulted in the establishment of a new meme coin on the Binance Smart Chain.

Many assumed Musk’s drive to have McDonald’s accept Dogecoin ended with the cheesy joke, but a recent Twitter conversation suggests there’s more to come.

Following a year of huge growth in 2021, the cryptocurrency community is gearing up for a Superbowl marketing blitz similar to the dot-com era’s peak.

Soon, FTX, Coinbase, and other well-known cryptocurrency companies are anticipated to show commercials. Some Dogecoiners believe Dogecoin will make an appearance, but co-founder Billy Markus advises them not to get “pitchforky” if this does not occur.
