India Leads the World in NFT Gaming – According to the latest data from Finder, India is the world leader in non-fungible token (NFT) gaming, whereas the number of play-to-earn (P2E) players in developed countries such as United States and France is substantially lower than in much of the rest of the world.
According to the latest NFT gaming statistics from Finder, India has the greatest percentage of respondents (34%) who have played a P2E game. With 29 percent, Hong Kong is the next highest country, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 27 percent.

While the popularity of P2E games looks to be increasing, data from Finder appears to reveal a divide in interest between respondents from Western countries and those from the rest of the world.
For example, only 14 percent of respondents in the United States indicated they knew what P2E was, despite 9.4 percent saying they had played at least one game. Only 4.3 percent of Swedish respondents said they have played.
However, according to Finder, which conducted a study to establish the NFT gaming habits of internet users in 26 countries, more respondents in the United States intend to play in the future.
Finder commented on the scale of the predicted increase in the number of Americans who plan to play P2E games in the future:
“By the end of 2022, that figure is predicted to have increased 1.8 times, with the percentage of individuals in the United States reaching 16.5 percent.”
Only 6% of French respondents had played a P2E game, but that number is predicted to climb to 15%. Peru (up from 13 percent to 29 percent) and Spain (8 percent to 17 percent ) are the other big movers.
