Jesse Tyler Ferguson Says he was a Stand-in for Sarah Hyland’s Wedding – Jesse Tyler Ferguson announced on social media that he officiated his “Modern Family” co-star Sarah Hyland’s wedding to “Bachelorette” alum Wells Adams Saturday.
The actor wrote on Instagram: “I had the best seat in the house for this stunner of a wedding. What an honor to marry my two dear friends @sarahhyland & @wellsadams,” alongside two photos of Hyland and Adams’ kissing on their wedding day. He continued: “I couldn’t be happier for you love bugs,” before joking, “I also do Bar Mitzvahs.”

Ferguson, who on the show portrayed Mitchell Pritchett, the uncle of Hyland’s character, presided over the spectacular outdoor ceremony at the Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez, California, while dressed in a bright blue suit.
In the photo, the “Ugly Betty” actor beamed as he stood back to watch as the newlyweds shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Ferguson’s husband of nearly a decade, Justin Mikita, was also there to celebrate the “epic” wedding.
The groom immediately expressed gratitude to Ferguson for his role with the wedding, saying: “I love you so much @jessetyler! Thank you for everything.”
Ciara Robinson, an actress and influencer, Vanessa Hudgens, and GG Magree served as guests of Hyland’s bridal party. Some of her other “ Modern Family” co-stars, including Julie Bowen, Sofia Vergara, Nolan Gould and Ariel Winter, are part of the big event, along with some of Adams’ “Bachelor” friends such as Nick Viall, Chris Soules and Ben Higgins.

Ferguson, who served as the officiant, was among the first guests to see the bride as she walked down the aisle wearing a light ivory silk faille ballgown with a classic neckline and pleated bodice. Hyland paired the Vera Wang gown with a cathedral-length Italian tulle veil and crystal-trimmed white pumps while Adams kept things simple in a black and white Gucci suit.
