Mastercard Partners With Crypto Payment Firm MoonPay for Web3 Services – Mastercard, a leading global payment company, is actively delving into the advantages of cryptocurrencies through a fresh partnership with the crypto payment platform MoonPay. MoonPay recently revealed on October 25th that they have joined forces with Mastercard in an effort to collectively explore how Web3 tools can enhance experiential marketing and discover innovative ways to engage with Mastercard’s customer base. 

This collaboration was officially announced by MoonPay’s Enterprise President, Keith Grossman, and Mastercard’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Raja Rajamannar, during the Money20/20 event in Las Vegas. “Mastercard will take advantage of MoonPay’s entire Web3 portfolio, including auth to minting to ETHPass and more as well as work closely with our agency, Otherlife, for strategy, creative and front-end dev work for their experiential initiatives,” Grossman wrote in a post on LinkedIn.

In addition to developing novel Web3 user experiences, MoonPay is set to collaborate with Mastercard to enhance compliance and trust within the Web3 sector. MoonPay will focus on integrating a range of Mastercard products and solutions, including “Click to Pay,” Mastercard Send, and Mastercard Crypto Credentials, into its payment offerings. 

This integration aims to bolster security and reliability across the Web3 industry. “We’re so grateful for the partnership and even more excited about what’s ahead. Congrats to the full team,” Mastercard’s Web3 marketing Adam Polansky commented on Grossman’s post. “We are excited about this partnership and what’s to come,” Mastercard’s partnership executive Elizabeth Taylor also wrote.

Mastercard has been vigorously engaging with the blockchain and cryptocurrency sector, incorporating various industry-related products into its platform over the past few years. In 2022, Mastercard introduced a program enabling banks to provide crypto trading services to their clients in partnership with Paxos. Additionally, Mastercard joined forces with Coinbase and MoonPay to extend its payment services to the Web3 and nonfungible token ecosystems.
