Samsung Latam Launches ‘House of Sam’ Metaverse Experience in Decentraland – Samsung Latam, the Latin American regional division of the electronics giant, has decided to dedicate an online presence to boosting its brand’s visibility in the digital realm. The company will retain a place known as “House of Sam” in Decentraland, one of the biggest Ethereum-based metaverse platforms.
Using the metaverse, this approach aims to bring the brand closer to a new generation of consumers, according to reports. The space is already accessible to users, having been inaugurated on September 1 with a virtual performance by the Brazilian band Melim.

Regarding the launch of this new digital space and its goals, Arthur Wong, director of marketing for Samsung Latam, stated: “Our customers will be able to interact with each other and participate in exclusive shows, courses, and events that we will offer for free at Decentraland, one of the most democratic and open spaces in the metaverse. Our goal is to be ever closer to Gen Z, our younger consumers who no longer draw boundaries between what is physical and what is virtual.”
The House of Sam will feature a series of brand-related mini-games that will award users with special wearables for their avatars in Decentraland as prizes. Some of the most iconic Samsung products, such as the Freestyle portable projector, are also present in the virtual realm.
This is one of many movements Samsung has already taken directly into the metaverse; the company is already participating in the NFT (non-fungible token) market and the bitcoin mining chip industry. In July, the company released Space Tycoon as a metaverse experience for the Roblox platform. The company opened its own store in Decentraland in January.
