Ukraine Adds Dogecoin to List of Accepted Cryptos – According to a tweet by Ukraine’s vice prime minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, the Ukrainian government will now accept dogecoin donations.
Fedorov claims that meme assets like dogecoin are more valued than Russian rubles, and that “even memes can help our army and save lives against Russian invaders.”
Following the introduction of polkadot (DOT) on March 1, the Ukrainian government is now ready to receive donations in dogecoin (DOGE).
Mykhailo Fedorov, the country’s vice prime minister, announced the government’s adoption of DOGE on Twitter. Fedorov even named Billy Markus, the Dogecoin network’s co-founder, as well as Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

According to a Ukrainian official:
“Dogecoin’s value has surpassed that of the Russian ruble. We’ve started accepting donations in the form of meme coins. Even (memes) can now assist our forces in combating Russian intruders and saving lives. Let’s do it, Elon Musk and Billy Markus, world DOGE owners.”
Dogecoin has been accepted as a response to the Ukrainian government’s first plea for bitcoin and ethereum donations, which saw millions of dollars worth of BTC and ETH flow into the donation addresses.
Binance, a cryptocurrency exchange, has started a crowdfunding effort and a $10 million pledge to help Ukraine. A number of dogecoin enthusiasts reacted to Fedorov’s announcement of DOGE adoption.
“Sent some,” DOGE co-founder Billy Markus tweeted in response to Fedorov’s message. “Dogecoin users aren’t typically rich, and the currency is largely used for small transactions, but we are a kind and loyal community.” “Those who wish to help will do so – I hope that as a result of everything, the country may heal and rebuild stronger,” he concluded.

Fedorov was approached by a huge number of DOGE after the DOGE co-founder’s statement, who notified him that they had sent dogecoin to the address.
The DOGE address presently holds $38,355 in DOGE, according to blockchain explorer statistics, and donations are still flowing in by the minute. The DOGE address of the Ukrainian government has received 285,793 DOGE from 356 transactions.
