New American Express Credit Card Lets Shoppers Earn Crypto Rewards Tradable Across 100+ Cryptocurrencies – The Abra Crypto Card will be available on the American Express network, according to Amex and Abra, a crypto trading platform and wallet provider. The new card, according to Abra, is:
The first American Express crypto rewards credit card that will transact in US dollars and provide crypto back on any transaction category and amount.
“With no annual or foreign transaction fees, the crypto rewards will be tradable across several 100 different cryptocurrencies supported by Abra,” the crypto startup stated.
The American Express Network will provide several benefits to the Abra Crypto Card, including Amex Offers, global dining benefits, presale ticket access, as well as purchase protections, according to Abra.

“One of the ways we back the evolution as well as innovation of commerce is by making it simpler for fintechs to develop and scale creative payment solutions leveraging the American Express global payments network and the Amex/i2c platform,” said Mohammed Badi, president of Global Network Services at American Express. “We have a long-standing relationship with Abra through our Amex Ventures investment portfolio,” the Amex executive noted.
Customers who are interested in the card can now sign up for a waitlist, with the card expected to be ready in late 2022, according to Abra.
In addition, on Friday, the crypto firm announced a new capability to buy and sell non-fungible tokens (NFTs) “with managed custody and a comprehensive collection gallery in the Abra app that will reduce the hassle and limit the risks of utilizing defi decentralized finance wallets,” according to the firm.
