Authorities Seize Several Luxury Cars From Andrew Tate’s Bucharest House – Romanian authorities seized several luxury cars, including a Rolls-Royce, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, from Andrew Tate’s property in Bucharest on Saturday. They were transported to a storage facility. Prosecutors announced earlier this week that they had confiscated 15 luxury vehicles and over 10 properties as part of the investigation into charges against the 36-year-old former kickboxer, influencer, and self-proclaimed misogynist.
He, along with his brother Tristan and two Romanian women, are being held on suspicion of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized criminal gang to sexually exploit women. Both men have denied any wrongdoing. The country’s organized crime agency, Diicot, previously stated that the assets of Tate are being confiscated to prevent them from being hidden, to aid in the investigation, and to compensate victims if the suspects are found guilty.

Earlier last week, a Romanian court rejected Tate’s appeal against his detention, ruling that he must remain in custody while an organised crime investigation continues. All four were ordered to be held in preventive detention for the full 30 days to which they were remanded. The judge said that, given the “financial capability” of the two men, the possibility the brothers may “evade investigation, leave Romania and settle in countries that do not allow extradition cannot be ignored.”
Andrew Tate, known for his controversial and offensive statements, was removed from the UK reality show Big Brother in 2016. Despite being banned from major social media platforms due to his hate speech and misogyny, he was later reinstated on Twitter after Elon Musk’s company acquired it. The dual US-British citizen has previously made statements suggesting women are partially responsible for being raped and that they are property of men. At the time of his arrest, authorities found firearms, knives, and money.
According to Diicot and Romanian prosecutors, the brothers are accused of using seduction to lure victims and then using deception to bring them to properties outside of Bucharest. Once there, the victims were allegedly subjected to physical violence, mental intimidation, and coercion to produce pornographic content for social media sites. The investigation began after one of the brothers was accused of raping a victim last March. Six victims have been identified thus far.

Eugen Vidineac, Tate’s lawyer, was unavailable for comment when news of the confiscation of the expensive cars broke. In the past, Vidineac had contended that the accusations were unfounded and that the defense was unable to thoroughly review the prosecution’s file. He asserted that Tate had been portraying a particular type of persona on social media that might not be compatible with his persona in real life.
