Aaron Rodgers Called out by Greg Jennings for Ripping Packers Teammates – Aaron Rodgers‘ former teammate is upset that the quarterback called out his current teammates. Former Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings criticizes Rodgers after the Green Bay quarterback lamented “mental errors” and said mistake-ridden players should not be on the field during a Tuesday visit on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
“You can’t do this,” Jennings said, according to Carmen Vitali of Fox Sports. “You can’t sit down on a show and start talking about who should and shouldn’t be playing because of mental errors.”
Rodgers, 38, hasn’t been shy in expressing his displeasure with the Packers’ 3-4 start following Sunday’s loss to the Commanders. He has struggled to find chemistry with his receivers in the wake of the franchise trading Davante Adams to the Raiders. “Guys who are making too many mistakes, shouldn’t be playing,” Rodgers told McAfee on Tuesday. “Gotta start cutting some reps. Maybe guys who aren’t playing, maybe give them a chance.”
Rodgers and Jennings were teammates for seven seasons, from 2006 to 2012, with Rodgers starting the last five. Jennings was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2010 and 2011. Jennings released a video he shot for the “33rd Team” on Twitter Tuesday night, outlining how the Packers may get back on track, putting part of the blame on Rodgers’ shoulders.
