Elon Musk Complains About Cryptocurrency Scammers on Twitter – In the cryptocurrency world, Twitter is a crucial source of information. However, be on the lookout for potential scams not only on Twitter, but also on other social media platforms like Telegram, Discord, and Instagram.

Billy Markus, a co-founder of Dogecoin, complained to Twitter’s support team that everyone on the platform is being inundated with crypto scam giveaways. Elon Musk agreed with him less than an hour later.

Scammers stole approximately $ 7,7 billion worth of cryptocurrency in 2021, according to a study by Chainalysis, a blockchain research organization.

Since 2018, when Elon Musk tweeted about seeking for Ethereum swingers, he has been warning about scammers. To establish it was his real account and not a fake one, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said earlier that year, “No, I’m not giving away ETH.”

When the new Twitter feature on NFT’s profile images was released last month, Musk expressed his displeasure, saying:

“While bitcoin scammers throw a spambot block party on every post, Twitter spends engineering resources on this!”

Elon Musk Complains About Cryptocurrency Scammers on Twitter – Billy Markus stated on Twitter in October 2021 that “there are no promises in crypto, only scammers.” Elon Musk joked about the scammers a few moments later, adding, “If I offer you 2 Doge, will you guarantee to send me 1 Doge?”

The AssangeDAO campaign to release WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange received a lot of attention last  two week. Hundreds of users were duped by a bogus version of AssangeDAO a few days later.

A scammer posing as Michael Saylor stole roughly $1 million in Bitcoin last month.

According to the 2021 Federal Trade Commission statement, more than $ 2 million has been lost by scammers posing as Elon Musk.
