But now she’s going a step farther and giving up her own luxurious homes, which she’s owned for a very long time. Scott, 52, donated “two single-family properties valued at $55 million,” according to a nonprofit philanthropic organization called the California Community Foundation (CCF), which made the announcement last month.

But now she’s going a step farther and giving up her own luxurious homes, which she’s owned for a very long time. Scott, 52, donated “two single-family properties valued at $55 million,” according to a nonprofit philanthropic organization called the California Community Foundation (CCF), which made the announcement last month.
Records reveal that on July 29, Scott, who wed high school chemistry teacher Dan Jewett in 2021, gave the organization the deeds to two of her Beverly Hills properties. Following her divorce from Bezos in 2019 after 25 years of marriage, Scott, who is also a novelist, was granted exclusive possession of the properties.
Bezos and Scott purchased the first property back in 2007 for $24.45 million. The Spanish-style, solar-powered home is 12,000 square feet in size, sits on 2 acres, and has seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms. They paid $12.9 million for the second house on the same block in an off-market deal in 2017. The house is 4,500 square feet and was constructed in 1956.

The CCF states that they intend to sell the houses as soon as possible and donate 90% of the earnings to “affordable housing grant making.” The other 10%, according to their explanation, will support their immigrant integration program, which will be used to “advance possibilities for the millions of immigrants from throughout the world who call Los Angeles County home.”
