Kanye West’s Presidential Campaign Treasurer Abruptly Resigns – According to a letter obtained by Politico, Patrick Krason, the former treasurer of Kanye West’s informal 2024 presidential campaign, has resigned and accused campaign adviser Milo Yiannopoulos of violating federal campaign finance laws. Krason informed the Federal Election Commission of his resignation on Monday.
In a separate letter, obtained by Politico, Krason claimed that campaign adviser Milo Yiannopoulos may have broken federal campaign finance law, writing that the right-wing personality “submitted falsified invoices and for expenditures that would be deemed unlawful” in 2022. The letter obtained by Politico mentioned a digital asset expense that Milo Yiannopoulos purportedly requested reimbursement for from both Kanye West’s campaign and Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene’s campaign, as per Politico’s report.

Yiannopoulos disputed the allegations, telling the outlet he wouldn’t “give any credence or ridiculous and easily disproven claims.” Although Kanye West has not formally announced his candidacy, which would involve submitting documents to the Federal Election Commission (FEC), he shared what seemed to be a campaign video on Twitter in November. The video has been removed, but the musician and fashion designer posted other videos that featured a “Ye 24” logo, alluding to a presidential bid.
On the same day, West shared a video where he talked about having had dinner with ex-President Donald Trump and far-right extremist and white nationalist Nick Fuentes at Trump’s private club, Mar-a-Lago. The dinner made news when the rapper began to make several anti-Semitic statements.
If Kanye West decides to run for president in 2024, it would be his second attempt at the office. In 2020, he announced his presidential bid during a turbulent time in his personal life with then-spouse Kim Kardashian and multiple instances of unpredictable conduct.
