Man Charged in Death of 18-year-old Girl who Fell Out of Golf Cart on Drunken Joyride – An alleged drunken golf cart driver was reportedly charged with manslaughter after an 18-year-old girl in the passenger seat fell out of the ride and died in North Carolina, police said.
According to WBTV, the Gaston County Police responded to a report of someone falling off a golf cart last week close to Mount Holly, a Charlotte suburb. According to police, a number of people were operating the cart while drunk.

Responders discovered 18-year-old Gabby Carrigan unconscious and not breathing at the scene, according to the police. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where the next day she was declared dead. Police said that 19-year-old Derek Helms was operating the cart when Carrigan fell. On Tuesday, he was charged with involuntary manslaughter.
