New Android 13 Feature to cut Background Noise During Calls – In the first beta of the Android 13 quarterly release, Google introduced a new “clear calling” feature that mutes background noises when on the call. On the majority of mobile networks, the “clear calling” functionality is viable, however Wi-Fi calling is not supported.
The tech giant Google last month started rolling out Android 13 with many new features, including improved privacy controls, language settings, and more, starting with Pixel devices. Twitter user Mishaal Rahman was the first to notice the feature and claimed that “content from your call is not sent to Google.”
Google announced that later this year, Android 13 will be made available for devices made by Samsung Galaxy, ASUS, HMD (Nokia phones), iQOO, Motorola, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, Sharp, Sony, Tecno, vivo, Xiaomi, and more.

As the quarterly platform release (QPR1) beta for Android 13 begins this month, the company is also likely to begin releasing Android 14 Beta for its Pixel devices in April 2023. Google originally stated the Android 13 QPR betas would run until June 2023.
New Android 13 Feature to cut Background Noise During Calls – Now, the company emphasizes that the QPR1 beta will begin next month and that the “Android 13 Beta has completed with the stable public release of Android 13 in August 2022.”
According to 9to5Google, there will likely only be two QPRs: T1B (stable in December) and T2B, with the Android 14 beta releases starting in April with UPB builds for the Pixel. The beta releases are scheduled to “continue through March 2023.”
