Pence Says He Will Not Endorse Trump in 2024 U.S. Election – Mike Pence, who served as vice president under Donald Trump for four years, announced that he will not endorse his former boss for the upcoming U.S. presidential election in November.

This set the stage for a rematch with Democratic President Joe Biden in the general election on November 5th. Pence remained loyal to Trump, but publicly diverged from the former Republican president due to his involvement in the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, incited by Trump supporters.
As vice president and president of the U.S. Senate, Pence was presiding over the certification of Biden’s 2020 election victory over Trump. Despite Trump’s directives to delay or stop the certification, Pence declined, earning a sharp rebuke from Trump amid the chaos of the riot. During his presidential campaign, Pence emphasized that his life was endangered.
He advised Republican primary voters against selecting Trump as their White House candidate for the current year. Pence terminated his pursuit of the Republican nomination in October before any primary votes were cast. As the election season progresses, Pence’s stance will undoubtedly shape the dynamics within the Republican Party and the broader political landscape.
