Recent Poll Suggests 21% of Americans Have Dabbled in Crypto – According to a recent NBC News poll, one out of every five Americans has used cryptocurrencies to invest in or trade digital assets. The statistics imply that crypto assets are becoming more popular, as 21% of the 1,000 poll respondents said they have “dabbled” in them.
The crypto economy, which is presently valued at $2.2 trillion at the time of writing, has seen substantial expansion over the last year. According to an NBC News poll, one out of every five Americans has used cryptocurrency in some way, and the popularity among men is particularly high.
Male participants made up the majority of the demographics polled, with 50% of men aged 18 to 49 saying they have already invested in or traded crypto assets.
The participants in the poll had a variety of opinions about cryptocurrencies and the sector, with 56 percent stating that they were indifferent or unsure about how they felt about the digital currency ecosystem.

Crypto assets and the sector were evaluated positively by 19 percent of those polled, while crypto was viewed poorly by 25%. From March 18 to March 22, 1,000 adults were polled, with a “margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.”
Many polls have attempted to measure the amount of Americans who have heard of or possess a fraction of crypto assets over the years. For example, Survey Monkey and the Global Blockchain Business Council conducted a survey of 5,761 American citizens over four years ago.
According to the poll results, 21% of respondents were “considering adding it to their portfolios” in 2018 and 5% had digital assets in their possession. Males were the supermajority by 58 percent in a survey conducted by Survey Monkey in 2018, similar to the NBC News poll.

According to a report published by Nordvpn in mid-February this year, 68 percent of Americans are conscious of the risks associated with crypto assets, based on a survey of 1,000 respondents.
While 32% of those polled said they were unaware of any concerns, 69 percent of all American respondents said they “had some awareness of what cryptocurrency is.”
Another poll, published at the end of November 2021 by cryptoliteracy.org, found that understanding of cryptocurrency basics remained still inadequate in 2021. 96 percent of Americans failed to comprehend basic crypto information, according to the report, which surveyed participants from a few countries.
