UK Law Firm Gunnercooke Says It Now Accepts Crypto Payments – According to a source, Gunnercooke, a commercial law firm based in the United Kingdom, has become the latest practice to accept cryptocurrencies as payment for services. The firm also claims to be one of the first large legal companies in the UK to provide payment choices to clients.
According to a Law Society Gazette report, Gunnercooke would therefore direct any such payments via Coinpass, a registered cryptocurrency exchange platform. According to the report, Attestant, a cryptocurrency transaction verification service, is one of the law firm’s clients who pays for services with bitcoin.

In his statements following the legal firm’s public declaration that it will accept cryptocurrencies, Naseer Patel, financial director at Gunnercooke, explained why the firm reached this decision.
According to the report, Patel said:
“Only a handful law firms in the United States already accept crypto asset payments, so we’re thrilled to be at the forefront of innovation in the United Kingdom. We will now be able to work with a wider selection of clients in a variety of jurisdictions, as well as offer our partners the option of receiving safe payment in the method of their choice.”
UK Law Firm Gunnercooke Says It Now Accepts Crypto Payments – Meanwhile, according to the report, numerous other niche practices, including Quinn Legal, had previously stated their intention to accept cryptocurrency payments. However, according to the report, some law firms are reluctant to accept payment in highly volatile cryptocurrencies.
The Solicitors Regulation Authority, on the other hand, claimed to have indicated that “how firms get paid is not something within our remit, as long as it’s legal.”
