Ukrainian Supermarket Chain to Accept Cryptocurrencies Through Binance Pay – Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by daily trading volume, and Ukraine’s supermarket chain Varus have announced a collaboration that will allow Ukrainian shoppers to buy food and other goods online using digital coins.
Customers can use the Binance and Varus apps to make instant crypto payments and receive fast delivery in nine Ukrainian cities: Kyiv, Dnipro, Kamianske, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Brovary, Nikopol, Vyshhorod, and Pavlograd.

To use the payment option, cryptocurrency owners must first download and install the Binance app on their Android or iOS device. They can then go to the Varus website, choose the products they want to purchase, and send the digital money from their Binance Pay wallet.
The crypto news outlet Forklog noted in a report on the new payment method’s announcement that the Binance Pay service was integrated earlier this year by the Ukrainian chain of stores for home appliances and electronics, Foxtrot.
In August, Whitepay began accepting cryptocurrency payments for products sold by major Ukrainian tech stores. Customers of retailers such as Tehnoezh and Stylus can now use the payment platform established by Whitebit, a European cryptocurrency exchange with Ukrainian roots.
Ukraine has become a regional leader in cryptocurrency adoption and has made efforts to regulate the industry in recent years, with the popularity of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies increasing even more amid an ongoing military conflict with Russia.

Both the Kyiv government and volunteer groups have been actively raising funds for defense and humanitarian initiatives through cryptocurrency donations. The crypto community has responded to requests for help. Binance launched a special cryptocurrency card for Ukrainian refugees in June.
