Nvidia Projects Automotive Industry to Include Metaverse Tech in Its Operations in 2023 – Nvidia, one of the world’s largest AI and graphics companies, predicts that many automotive companies will begin integrating their operations with the metaverse around 2023. The organization feels there are two distinct strategies to accomplish this integration. First, the deployment of metaverse technologies will enable businesses to monitor the entire production process of their vehicles, enabling them to suggest improvements.
This is made possible by the incorporation of “digital twins” in the factories where these automobiles are manufactured. As a result of this integration, designers will be able to communicate in a virtual area with a realistic picture of the pieces slated for manufacturing. There are businesses who have already embraced this strategy. For instance, Renault presented its industrial metaverse in November with the goal of saving $330 million through its adoption.

Nevertheless, not only will industrial processes be a part of this transformation, but retail will also ostensibly gain from this shift. Utilizing metaverse technology, Nvidia believes the relationship between customers and products will be enhanced. The company declared: “Customers can also benefit from enhanced product experiences. Full-fidelity, real-time car configurators, 3D simulations of vehicles, demonstrations in augmented reality and virtual test drives all help bring the vehicle to the customer.”
In this sense, there are also vehicle brands active in bringing their products to the metaverse to reach a larger audience. Fiat, an automotive brand part of the Stellantis group, launched its first metaverse store on Dec. 3, allowing potential customers to take a virtual tour of one of its cars. In the metaverse showroom, users even have the opportunity of taking a test drive on a virtual course. Ford, another automotive manufacturer, filed 19 different trademarks preparing for a possible metaverse push on Sept. 2.
