Rapper Kodak Black Released on $75K Bond After Florida Oxycodone Arrest – After being arrested close to Fort Lauderdale on allegations of possessing a large quantity of oxycodone pills, Kodak Black was freed from custody on a $75,000 bond on Saturday. A reporter from NBC 6 South Florida shared a video showing the 25-year-old rapper leaving Broward County jail.
The rapper, whose legal name is Bill Kahan Kapri, had a hearing on Saturday morning, and according to his attorney, the bond had been negotiated there. According to authorities, Black’s windows were tinted darker than permitted, so Florida Highway Patrol pulled him over in Fort Lauderdale, according to Bloomberg.

The search revealed 31 oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash, the outlet reported. According to the investigation, Black’s registration and vehicle tag were also both expired.
The “Super Gremlin” rapper has spent much of his life in and out of jail and prison. He was given a four-year prison sentence in 2019 for possessing guns, but former President Donald Trump commuted it in 2021. After being accused of raping a teenager in 2016, the recording artist for Atlantic Records avoided additional prison time last year by agreeing to a plea bargain.
