Jimmie Allen Dropped by Record Label – Jimmie Allen, the country star, has been dropped by his record label shortly after a second individual made sexual assault allegations against him. “BBR Music Group has dissolved its relationship with Jimmie Allen. He is no longer an active artist on its roster,” the label said in a statement to news outlet.
Amidst his ongoing divorce from his pregnant wife Alexis following a three-year marriage, Jimmie Allen, the 37-year-old singer, faced a previous suspension from BBR in May. This occurred after his former manager filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of assault and sexual abuse, allegations that Allen vehemently denies. Additionally, he has been let go by his agency, UTA, and was removed from the performer lineup at the recent CMA Fest in Nashville.

The most recent development follows a lawsuit filed by an unidentified woman last week against Allen. She alleges that he recorded their sexual encounter without her consent and persisted in sexual activities even after she had withdrawn her previous consent. This represents a rapid decline for Allen, who, in the past few years, had successfully established himself as a recognized country star after working in the industry for over a decade.
In 2021, Allen achieved a significant milestone in his career by reaching a country No. 1 with “Freedom Was a Highway,” a collaboration with Brad Paisley. Moreover, he made history as the second Black artist to win the new artist of the year award at the 2021 CMA Awards. Allen’s accomplishments continued in 2022 as he received a Grammy Awards nomination for best new artist, where he also performed. Additionally, he served as a mentor on American Idol during the same year.
Notably, Allen embarked on Carrie Underwood’s Denim & Rhinestones tour from October 2022 to March 2023 as the opening act. Regarding the allegations in the initial lawsuit against him, Allen has vehemently denied all of them. The lawsuit, brought by his former manager, accuses him of rape, abuse, and repeated sexual harassment under the alleged supervision of his management team, who she claims were aware of his actions but still allowed her to work under his authority.

The woman in that lawsuit said she reported the July 2022 incident to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, a spokesperson for which confirmed to news outlet that a report was filed. Allen previously issued a public apology to his estranged wife Alexis, with whom he shares daughters Naomi, 3, and Zara, 20 months, and is expecting a baby boy. “I want to publicly apologize to my wife Alexis for humiliating her with my affair. I’m embarrassed that my choices have brought shame on her. That’s something that she did not deserve at all,” he wrote on social media.
