AMC Theatres to Accept Dogecoin and Shiba Inu Payments in Coming Weeks – AMC Theatres will accept two meme cryptocurrencies, dogecoin (DOGE) and shiba inu (SHIB), in the coming weeks, according to the CEO of the world’s largest movie exhibition firm, AMC Entertainment.
The world’s largest movie exhibition firm, AMC Entertainment (NYSE: AMC), was formerly known as AMC Theatres. The company owns or operates roughly 950 theaters and 10,500 screens around the world.
According to Aron, AMC Theatres’ IT staff expects “Bitpay to be live for AMC online payments” by March 19, and “Bitpay will be operational on the company’s mobile apps by April 16 or a few days early.”

Since putting up a Twitter poll regarding dogecoin in September last year and a survey about shiba inu the following month, the CEO has assured the crypto community that AMC Theatres will take DOGE and SHIB payments.
AMC Theatres to Accept Dogecoin and Shiba Inu Payments in Coming Weeks – Aron claimed in November of last year that he had persuaded Bitpay, a cryptocurrency payment service, to support the shiba inu. He also stated that he will be Bitpay’s first customer to adopt SHIB.

When Bitpay announced support for the shiba inu cryptocurrency in November, retail giant Newegg swiftly began taking SHIB as a form of payment.
Last year, Aron revealed that AMC Theatres would take four cryptocurrencies: bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), litecoin (LTC), and bitcoin cash (BCH). Customers can only use their Paypal accounts to pay with these cryptocurrencies.
