Kevin Costner’s Estranged Wife Christine Is Requesting $248K a Month in Child Support – According to court documents filed by Christine, Kevin Costner’s estranged wife, during their acrimonious divorce, she is requesting a monthly child support amount of $248,000. The details of her financial claim were disclosed in recently filed court documents prepared by her attorneys, specifying that the amount of $248,000 is intended to cover the expenses of all three children.

In the filing, Christine, 49, alleges the figure “is less than the amount needed to maintain the children in their accustomed lifestyle” and is requesting that Costner, 68, also pay 100% of private-school tuition, extracurricular activities/sports and health-care expenses for their three kids: Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13. The request for order, filed on Friday in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Barbara, does not include a request for spousal support.

The documents state that Kevin’s income for 2022 was $19,517,0641, and the family’s expenses (excluding taxes) were $6,645,285. After accounting for all expenses and taxes, the family’s net income amounted to $7,595,520. Some of the listed expenses include frequent trips to the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Aspen, as well as regular entertaining of guests with the need for caterers or chefs. Moreover, the annual maintenance cost for their multiple large properties is approximately $2 million.

According to court documents filed by Costner’s legal representatives, he claimed that based on their prenuptial agreement, Christine was required to vacate the shared residence, which is owned by the actor from Yellowstone and is valued at approximately $145 million, within 30 days of filing for divorce. As she filed for divorce on May 1, the deadline has now passed, yet she remains at the property.

In the docs, Costner agrees to pay $38,000 a month in child support in addition to “100% of certain child related costs, including private school tuition, books, fees and uniforms and school trips, children’s sports, camps and other agreed upon extracurricular activities,” as well as health insurance, unreimbursed medical expenses and therapy costs for their kids.

Furthermore, Costner has agreed to provide a monthly contribution of $30,000 to cover the expenses of renting a home for Christine. Additionally, he has offered her an advance of $10,000 to assist with her moving costs. In a gesture of support, Costner states that she is permitted to utilize the staff at his property to aid in her relocation.

According to the actor’s court documents, he has already fulfilled his obligation by paying Christine $1 million, as outlined in the premarital agreement. On May 2, a representative for the acclaimed actor from “Field of Dreams” confirmed to a news outlet that he and his spouse of 18 years were separating following Christine’s divorce filing.

In the divorce paperwork, she specified April 11 as the date of their separation and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason. Following the initial filing, Costner submitted his response, requesting joint custody and also citing irreconcilable differences. In his filing, the actor and director made reference to the prenuptial agreement, specifically addressing matters related to spousal support, legal fees, and properties.

In a statement last month, Costner’s rep said, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.” A source said that divorce wasn’t Costner’s idea: “It was not anything that he wanted or sought, and if he could change the situation, he would.” The pair married in September 2004. Aside from Cayden, Hayes and Grace, Costner is also dad to four older children from previous relationships: Annie, Lily, Joe and Liam.
